Should Ganguly be made the next captain.....again?

i think it is better to choose a younger captain for the future of indian cricket ,but i dont think bcci is dare enough to take that decision so dada is certainly the front runner now

Well, I dont think Ganguly should be made the next captain. See we are looking for World Cup 2011 now. We need player who'll be playing till then. Nobody is sure whether Ganguly will be playing by then. We need a young captain who can lead the team in long term like Yuvraj Singh, Dhoni, Kaif or Zaheer Khan.

I think Ganguly should be brought back as the captain..When he was the captain,Indian batting line up had much more self confidence and India used to win atleast against these young kids in the game...He is the best capatain India ever had along with Azhar...I think under his leadership India can regain the power it had before...He have a natural aggression which the present captain,Dravid lacks...

ya i agree with u mate saurav is definately the best contender for tht place in the indian cricket team.he hs got the potential.n he works very hard.he cn tk indian cricket team to new heigths.if nt saurav ganguly thn i m always there(main hoon na) to be the captain of indian cricket team.lol.hehehe

Yes I agree to that... as dravid lack agrressiveness which Ganguly has and in mordern cricket we need aggressive captians and not captians like Dravid who wait for things to happen

A technically sound player is comfortable in all types of surfaces & against all oppositions. Such a player can easily return to form when out of touch. Also captaincy consumes most of your time and thoughts & you have to find that extra time to polish your own game. Dravid is an extremely hardworking player & will find time out. it went against ganguly as u can see from his footwork. Footwork needs a clear head.

Leave alone Ganguly, Sachin, Kumble or Dravid. They should play their game, must learn to take the pressure and deliver when the youngsters fail. Their advice may be valuable during discussions on-site or off-site. A new captain must be thought of who can be groomed of in the presence of these seniors. May be someone like Dhoni, Karthik or Yuvaraj Singh can take the mantle.

yes ganguly should be made captain again bocoz he deserves that position. his captaincy was the one hich led india to reach the finals of the world cup 2003 and i agree that too was the team effort but ganguly holds the credit for that too. this time whatever happened was astonishing and unbelieving too never expected like that in life.i dont want to blame anyone but i even feel it as a bad dream and iam not able to forget it yet.

well if ganguly is made the indian captain,dravid is gonna say goodbye 2 cricket.... so let's hope everything goes on well and dravid is remain as the captain......

Of course making Ganguly d captain again's a gud choice but not d best coz he's already been a lot of pressure for a couple of years & his himself not interested in becoming d captain again as told to d media. Wat I think is making Yuvraj as d skipper would certainly do it 4 us jus like Smith did it 4 RSA when d team's struugling under Pollock. YUVRAJ 4 sure's my choice.

I think that yes he should be made the captain of the team again. but, the conditions in which he was removed from the captaincy i doubt that he would come back again.

Yaaaaaa. Its is not a question to ask. Dada is the best captain ever and he should be the next captain.

being a bong and an ardent cricket fan too, i'm equally impressed by ganguly's performance. he single-handedly pulled india out of the abyss after azaruddin's departure. the fact that he is undoubtedly arrogant can be expected from any leader who knowns very clearly what he is doing and what the outcome would be. his luck at the finals seemed a bit jinxed though, as india has failed to win any major tournament under his leadership but have made the finals time and again. his leadership qualities can't be doubted at all. but for the future of indian cricket, i don't think ganguly should be re-appointed as captain. at 34(35 this july), he is not getting younger and by the time its next world cup (2011) he'll be 38/39. no one knows if he will be fit enough to continue till then. in my opinion, yuvaraj singh should immediately be made captain and groomed for the job during this lull period, so that in cruch situations later, he can lead india to victory.

For me as a captian, i like Rahul David, he is most cool and friendly with the team members where as, Ganguly, he is moody, short tempered and not friendly with team members. I dont think that both of them should stop playing because they are both old enough to play. There are many young players behind them, they should give chance to play.

yes he is in good form now ..he is back..so bcci should make him as a captain!

Ya ganguly should be made as the next captain of indian cricket team Bcoz he has taken india to 2003 worldcup final under his his captaincy. Also under his captaincy india have many records
