I love all types of music, from classical to jazz, to new age...but I also love the music from movies.. I sometimes think I'll love a movie, even if it's not the greatest, just because of the music. RIght now my favorites that I listen to all the time...still....are the soundtracks to the Lord Of The Rings movies, Chronicles of Narnia...and believe it or not,,...the 2003 version of Peter Pan!--LOL

My favorite soundtrack is The Phantom Of The Opera one *blush*
I am not very fond of soundtracks per se but it has happened to me many times to find a really nice song in a movie soundtrack. But that's usually one per movie at most, I rarely get to find soundtracks to like on the whole. But that's perhaps because I never pay that much attention to it *blush again*

Really I like the soundtracks like Grease and Dirty Dancing. But I do love The Mists of Avalon soundtrack and I want to get it. That's really all I listen to though.

Yeah I know I just haven't got around to ordering them. It's funny I'm more likely to order the more expensive things over the least expensive things! Weird.

I love movie soundtracks! They are usually awesome! I dont know if you saw The Departed, but the song Comfortably Numb was redone for that movie, and it sounds great.
I also like the soundtracks to a lot of animated movies! Goofy Movie, Road To Eldorado, etc.
The theme song for Dragon Heart (1 and 2) and the theme song for Homeward Bound are great too!

Yup. One that i keep playing in my hand is that theme from 'Last of the Mohicans'. I keep seeing the image of that soldier burning at the stake whenever i think back of the theme. Other than that its Superman's theme which is a classic, soundtrack from Star Wars and as far as modern soundtrack, the one from Men In Black.

Last Of The Mohicans is a fantastic soundtrack--bit disappointed though--I have both the VHS tape version and DVD, and while the DVD had a few extra moments in it, it cut out the song "I Will Find You" which is an incredibly beautiful song.

The hills are alive with the sound of music.
Come on everybody, let's sing a song.
But we don't know any song.
Let's start at the very beginning
A very good place to start
When you read you begin with
A-B-C
When you sing you begin with do-re-mi
Do-re-mi
Do-re-mi
The first three notes just happen to be
Do-re-mi
Do-re-mi
Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti
Oh, let's see if I can make it easier
Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long long way to run
Sew, a needle pulling thread
La, a note to follow sew
Tea, I drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to do...oh oh oh

I have several CD's of soundtracks, not to mention cassettes, and I love listening to them. "Phantom Of The Opera","Evita", "Grease", "Highlander",
"Sister Act" and many, many more. I love the music they can come up with for the movies and how they can add to it all. Yes some of those are mainly music stories but so many others the music expands the story to make it more complete.

I have several soundtrack cds that get a lot of play right now
The Crow
Lord of the Rings
Queen of the Damned
The Matrix
I go through phases with music, at the moment I have reverted back to my heavy goth metal mood with The Crow
