Did you know what you wanted to be? Like you always knew you were going to be a doctor or nurse? Are you in that industry now; are you in your dream job? What are your tips for getting in the job that you have wanted for so many years? Did you chase the same dreams from since when you were a little child? I appreciate all feedback.

That's a really ironic and funny story eskarena1! So, did you actually get sent to prison? Or did you apply for a job that was located in the viccinity of the prison and you were required to teach at? Well, thanks for your interesting dream job story. Hope you are thoroughly enjoying your job!

I always share this to my cousins, I want to be a stewardess someday but It didn't happen because they say that to be a stewardess is very expensive when it becomes in schooling. (they always discourage me).

I don't know it's expensive to be stewardess in my country, I thought you need to go for training, and you'll get paid for the training too.
Perhaps you can really go and check out the procedure of becoming stewardess in your country, then only consider if it really suits you. Don't be discouraged by others. Just be sure what you want to do, then go and do it. Hope you'll achieve your dream soon. ^_^

I always wanted to be a teacher. I actually went to school to be a elementary school teacher. I had a very bad experience with my student teaching and didn't finish. I taught preschool for many years.
After I got married, I went to nursing school and became a nurse. The money is better, but I am not as happy as when I was teaching.
If I could think of something to do that would pay the mortgage, I would quit nursing in a heartbeat.

I have been dreaming to be a scientist, a great scientist, just like Einstein, since I was a child.
But now it seems I can't be a scientist. maybe I can be a researcher, but not a scientist. sometimes I really feel upset. I am reading for my Doctor degree, but I find my dream is still far away from me, even further and further. My major belongs to physics, but it foucuses on the engineering application. so maybe I can't be a scientist in theoretical physics, where most great scientists engage themselves in.
ya, maybe I can be an engineers scientist. that's what I call myself.
have a great day!

I had so many different things I wanted to be when I was little! It seems like I had a different idea every week, haha. For awhile, I wanted to be a doctor, and I also really wanted to be teacher. I didn't follow through with either of those, although I did sort of want to be a professional musician when I was little, and now I am one, so I guess I sort of followed through on one thing. The only difference is that I thought I wanted to be a singer, and now I'm a violist, lol.

when i was still a little kid, i dreamed of becoming a doctor one day... a prediatrician to be precise. i took and finished my preparatory course. i am a licensed pharmacist but i wasn't able to push through my plans to get into medicine anymore. my parents can no longer support me because my brother is suffering from leukemia.
but i am not dismayed. i am happy with the field i am now.

Yes, I knew what I wanted to be. I wanted to be a brakeman and work for the railroad. I always wanted to do this, but it seems I find driving a car extremely stressful mentally, and you can not get the job without a driver's licence... So I probably will never make it to the railroad job... I later found out I had done this railroad job in a past life.. so I already reached my dreams...
No, I am a minister through the ULC the kind that ministers for no pay. I baby sit for my family and help them out for a roof over my head, food on my plate, and internet access... The only paying job I have right now is my http://www.cafepress.com/dnatureofdtrain/ Store and Mylot....
I am good with arts and crafts, so I am trying to learn how to earn enough to start a small business so I can sell my arts and crafts just to support myself. I know I'll have to work my butt off more than others at it.. I do dream of having a traveling ministry.. since I can not work for the railroad...
The tips for getting my job um... Go to my cafepress site, and join to create a store, and then start drawing pictures and images, or taking them and upload them, size them, and customize products.. I guess I am a graphics designer...Not sure what to call it. I do pictures and take pictures for my store items..
I still dream of chasing my dream..
But I broke my shoulder last year.. so most of my dream chasing is on hold until I get full range motion back in this shoulder...
Railroad has been a dream I had since I could talk...
Minister is a new dream....That was inspired by Spirits..
Founding My Intentional Community.. or Micronation called the Ludetribe.. Is I guess a Pipe Dream.. But it is one that keeps me happy and going...
I will keep on chasing and hoping to meet these dreams, if I do not meet them in the physical world, I know in the Spiritual world these dreams will be waiting for me then.

I would have really liked to be a pro cricketer but when I was young enough to do it the pay was terrible. Those were the days of gentlmen cricketers who had personal fortunes or family sponsors. Fast bowlers like Fred Trueman got paid pennies. Things have changed now.

If I recall correctly, my first ambition was to be a teacher. When I was in primary school, we have to write 3 ambitions every year. Teacher was always on top of the list throughout the years. Other than this, I wrote Engineer and Tailor sometimes, as they are my parents' jobs.
I didn't really chase for my dreams. When I went to secondary school, I stopped writing teacher as my ambition anymore. I admire the occupation as being a teacher, I like education too, but I just don't think I will be satisfied by being a teacher. By then, I was thinking of becoming an engineer, simply because I like Maths & Science, and I think it's more challenging.
After studying in Engineering field for a year, I realized I do not really like becoming an engineer, especially in my home country. As engineers here seldom involve in design, and I like designing. Hence, I changed to programming field, which I can design my own software, and the room for improvement seems to be bigger.
Well, finally I'm a programmer now after changing my ambitions for many. I think it's important to be sure what you want to do and what you like to do in your life. Sometimes, you like the study that course doesn't mean you like to do that job too. Just be sure of this, and go for it.
I really like your discussion. ^_^

I wanted to be a writer and an archeologist. I love ancient history and learning about how people lived. There is no money in this field, but more important, I wouldn't want to remove the items just to have them sit behind a glass at a museum some where. I like to study but I don't like to disturb.
I am a poet and a published one. So, that dream, goal has been fulfilled. I will never stop writing as it is a part of me

I wanted to be a writer, this place and my blogs are as close as I've got to that so far sadly. When I was a child I had far more idea's for my stories my imagination seems to have got smaller since I got older.

I have a feeling the job i wanted when i was little was the same job any little kid probably wanted. I loved the zoo and all the animals, i still do. In elementary school and even some in jr. high i wanted to always either have a job working with the animals at the zoo or even at a place like Sea World with dolphins. Of course by the time i was in Jr. High i realized i really didnt have the brains to be in college all those years or the money to take the courses and years to really truly go to school to be able to work with animals. Sometimes i think back on that and i wish i did go to college and make myself study and able to go to school and get a career working with animals.
