we all know that a team of India's calibre should'nt fail at the hands of a nation such as Bangladesh. It is very bad & hurt the feelings of the blue billion. They got themselves defeated in the world cup,the biggest tournament in cricket, added to the fire. But may i ask u one thing,Is this large amount of fuss on this single defeat necessary.true they r earning lakhs & lakhs of rupees per year & they are obliged to show it in their performance but defeat is an integral part of any game, Up to a limit it can be justified, yes if u hype it only then they will remember the insult & play better next time. Now also we see columns by various people mainly from India talking about the defeat, attacking or justifying or commenting or suggesting about the teams performance & the shock Defeat. Why can't we see it as just another defeat to its string of defeats in recent pasts.so

no, it is just not another defeat. day in day out throughout the year we are seeing these cricketers on our TVs, papers, hearing them on radios. they are not anonymous models posing for any products. they are being paid huge amounts as endorsement fees which these companies take from us when we buy their products. no other sport or sport-person in India get as much coverage as cricketers. they are worshipped next to gods. and just because they are worshipped as gods, do they get so handsomely paid. so they should have some obligation to their millions of fans who make them such rich sportsperson. also note that the Pakistan Cricket board has scrapped the contract of all players and will renew it only on performance basis. Do you think anything like this will ever happen in India?

well thanx 4 the comments.
Past is past ,so lost is lost,Inzy also faces the ire in Pakistan for their more shocking defeat against a debutant Ireland. He also has the same complaint,Media has not supported him the least.See ,we do have to criticize the team, point out the defects,&try to correct them,We have to be bit more encouraging to the players, only a bit more i say bcoz CRITICISM IS EXTREMELY ESSENTIAL.
In our country media is xtremely negative & popularity based. They choose topics based on how popular & controversial the subject is.
For example,i am a active reader of the Hindu,I saw today the official news on declaration of Vishwanathan Anand as World No:1.Well isnt that positive news,But this came on the third sports page & not on the main sports page, their lies the negative thinking. Why not put Vishy's news on the main sports page with a big heading. If Indian cricket team even climbed to 2nd or 3rd spot then this would appear on the main sports page with a big heading & paraphernalia & comments by other players & authors filling up the page.this is what that should be changes. This what i meant by Media Hype.
