I went home last month and was surprised to see that you can buy anti-virus, microsoft office, and even windows xp programs in sidewalks. Not only that, also DVDs, sony playstation & xbox games as well & audio cds too. What really surprised me is that you can find it in malls too. If it's not a problem selling it, i just thought i won't be a problem buying too. It's as close to legal since nobody cares.

Yes but please don't put the FBI on me..I don't know, I guess it's because I really can't afford the original ones. If I'm rich I would have no problems buying the original but let's face it, I need to have programs on my pc. I wish everything would just be open source like linux.

No need to worry about that. All i'm saying is, if most if not all people can get away with it. I might as well try some because honestly, the prices are way way cheaper. I might start with xbox games which pirated ones cost like $8-$10 while originals cost not lower than $60.

I can honestly say, with hand on heart that I don't use pirated software or purchase cds or have them copied for me. I do download songs off the internet for my itunes but I pay a subscription and don't get them for free. I don't play video games and find it difficult to instal software which isn't compatible, I use a Mac, so most programs are only designed for PC's I have no problems with others doing it, it's something I don't do because I don't need to do it.

I use a free version of anti-virus (AVG), and I use a free version of firewall (Comondo). I cannot have pirated Windows because they install that stupid program on your computer that says "You are running pirated version of windows". It is very annoying! I do have a pirated version of Microsoft Office, sorry I am not paying 300 USD of their software. I also use OpenOffice as well which is free. I don't play video games so there is no problem with that. So I think we are similar a little bit, :)

No, I believe in buying all of the above. The artists work hard for their money, so why should we rob them?
