So, last night when explaining to someone about God, they asked me, why God made us when he knew we would suffer. Well, I compared God to parents. I said, "Why did you have children, if you knew that one day they would suffer and have pain?" We have kids, knowing that one day they'll have their heart broken, experience the pain and suffering involved with living life. So, why do we question God for making us, knowing the same things? What do you guys think?

You have a good point there and I really support your thoughts. Many people question if God really exist. They doubt the existence of God because they thought that if God really cares to his people then why he let them to suffer from life's tempest? Many of those who does wave from their own faith failed to solve the answer of this question and suddenly became unbelievers.
Suffering is part of life and it dwells in all of us. This will test our faith to God and by this people who are strong willed on their faith only survive from losing what they believe. God let us suffer to know who really believes faithfully on him. They are the true sons/daughter of God.

Would you send your kids to hell if they didn't do what you told them to?
It is difficult comparing an ultimate being to a parent.
If you have a perfect being who creates all the rules, is also the cause for teaching and defining a persons path in life, yet also creates the possibility of failure to succeed in the objectives of life they have created, ie worshipping jesus and being a good christian, then they are responsible for pointless suffering.
