Tarsier is the smallest primate in the world and this could be found in Bohol Province. This creatures really are aggressive one and this will attack you harmly.During mating season, female primate tried their best to allure this male. It leaves their saliva on every leaves of the plant where they are affirm to the place of the male primate. If this male found this saliva and smell it, this male will look for the female who owns it and make love to each other. This makes these primates an interesting creature in the Philippines.

Just the wonders of nature. We may well be amazed of its size but it has real purpose in nature - its feeds on insects during the night, balances with natures function. Its quite amazing the the kind of natural ecology that co-existed with us & the animals that lived in them. As Filipinos we as yet to fully grasped & mature in our role as we very much part of this ecosystem.
The Tarsier, as I've yet to hold one (not looking forward to it), is truly a wonder of nature. Built for the purpose it is meant to be, big round eyes to absorb light where there is few, long flexible tail for balance & mobility, body built for speed & agility. It is known to prey on small insects & certain fruits.
Its only known natural enemy now, that causes so much devastating reduction in its population on there natural habitat is man.
Hopefully, we as human, would rather just be satisfied that we see them in pictures & know so much about them in print but we should learn to hold ourselves that it is for the better that we do not have direct interaction with these wonders of nature.

the right term is primate . anywayive been to bohol and i was able to see the tarsier , they are really cute!! the tarsier we saw in loboc river is somehow aggressive not like the tarsier near the hanging bridge. i wish that tarsier will be removed from the endangered species so our next generation will be able to see them.
