What brand of a digital camera is the best?

I cannot give you an advice on which to buy if the choice is between Sony and Cannon. I will always go for a Nikon camera. I just love those! My advice is to go to a photo-store (not a computer store) and ask about the difference between the two. It helps a lot if you can tell the store clerks what it is you want the camera to be able to do.
