Talk about a long wait. 11 months ago, we bought a Dell, it was defective and I called the company and have gotten the run around. Outsourcing sucks. Anyways after 10 months of this. I get rude, instead of asking for a replacement each time, I demanded it. We payed for a warranty, it is not a software problem it is a hardware problem. I am not paying to have it fixed, you guys need to replace it.
It was ordered twice then canceled, by someone, not me. Finally I get a call telling me it is being shipped and I did get it today.
I haven't even hooked it up yet to make sure it runs right. But I have to say I will never buy another Dell while they outsource their US CS dept.

I am sorry you have had such a hard time with Dell. I have nothing but good things to say about Dell. I hope I never have these kind of things happen to me. I have a new upgrade type of computer I just received and I too need to get it hooked up. Wish me luck as I do for you in this new computer of yours.

I had nothing but good things to say about Dell, until this last purchase. It is frustrating that I had to work months to earn that money to pay for it, and then to get the run around. I still haven't taken it into the other room to hook it up yet. lol I will get it done today.
I do got to say, this computer has a better processor than the orignal one. I don't like the Celron D processors, this one has a P4 with HT. But I still need to make sure that everything else is at least the same or better than what we had.

That sucks you had to go through all the for a Dell. They are so not worth the money. I hope they gave you some of your money back as well. Next time, you need to hook up the computer and make sure it works before the delivery man leaves. If it doesn't work you can deny the package and have it shipped back for free.

This is amazing, I am working for the Dell outsourcing center, in India, and i am sorry that your shipment has got delayed, even though i have no hand in it. Anyway, i will talk to my colleagues and see whether anybody remembers your case. Internet really connects, ain't it.

Dell would be better off instead of outsourcing the call center that deals with India to America and America to India, having their call centers deal with the people in their own countries.
I have heard the same complaints from people from India when they are transfered here to the US, that I have had. See if you can't make that suggestion to them, because Dell Reputation is getting ruined and Compaq did that too, and look what happen, HP bought them and 1000's of people lost their jobs, because people stop buying their computers.
If people stop buying Dell products, they too will be in a situation where either they are forced out of business or has to merge to stay alive. Either way thousands of people will be out of work.

To be honest, i am really not in favour of this, because of the fact that i will loose my job if something like this ever happened. I am not trying to be mean, its just hat, i need to live, and DELL is the only way for my daily dose of bread and butter. But really, company wise, i would agree would you, it may save dell from a merger.

We got a Dell and had no issues. I've heard of problems with customer service since they've outsourced it overseas. When we were trying to order it, the people at Dell weren't able to answer simple answers about the system. But for the price, we had a huge discount, it was worth it. It's currently waiting in storage while we settle our rental place here in England. We were trying to figure out whether it was dual voltage. You would think Dell reps would know that.

Ive always put my own computers together with parts begged or otherwise aquired. this way, i know whats in it because i put it there. And if it goes wrong, i know why and what do do and fix it myself. It took years of screwin them up to learn but it was worth it.

Heard lots of problems like that exist for dell, but what i don't know is how they still manage to run the company.
