Should Mobile phones be allowed inside Colleges?

I don't think people should have to go outside to use their cell phones. I do think they need to be turned off during class. There's no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to be used in the cafeteria or other common areas.

I think it is not a good rule. College campuses can sometimes not be safe, and with classes going on at night and daytime, I think having a cell phone with you at all times, is a safety issue. MAybe they might have to be turned off during classes. But with so many people being victimized on college campuses while walking around, I feel they are a necessity. I think people should walk to their cars with 911 typed in their phone and their finger on the send button, just in case.
