I do trust that people who are not suppose to die , die due to some unnatural reasons ,their soul roams on earth only. Eternity is what every soul is suppose to achieve . Ghosts, I'm scared of ghosts from my childhood and still feel that they are something which everyone should avoid to be in contact with . I haven't had any encounter with ghosts yet and never want this to happen in my lifetime.

Hmmm...Which on to tell?
Do I tell about the spirit that lived with us in an apartment? The one that would not stop turning on and off lights. And how the poor lady down stairs came running upstairs in just a wet towel because "all the toys were playing by themselves". Oh yeah...she made me go down there to check it out and swore to me that she was not crazy! LOL
Or how about the Navy Housing we lived in and that guy there would not leave closed doors locked and closed. Man! I would have to constantly get up to close and re-lock doors because he would unbolt them and open them. And the crazy thing is, the front door was swollen with age and moisture that it was tough for even me to open or close. But yet, he would unbolt it and open it wide up! My neighbors and friends just thought that I kept forgetting to lock the doors and then blamed it on kids coming by and opening the doors. Not!
Because this guy got annoyed with my husband not believing in him and not only started pushing tables and chairs...but he also freaked my husband out by showing himself! But the thing weird was...I was in the car and my husband was walking around the car to get in when he saw him. But I didn't see a thing! He refused to tell me what he kept stopping to look at while he walked around the car until a few days later when the table moved in front of him across the floor by a foot! LOL
There are many things I could tell you...but believe me...that ARE real!

Oh! I remember that organ!!!! Freaky a$$ thing!
I still think that my back door opening was your ghost telling me or you to come over. Because it was ALWAYS the back door. And after you moved, instead, it started to open the lady across the street and she was getting upset because she thought it was some kids running by constantly opening her door. I thought it was funny when it stopped happening to me. ha ha
Oh! I know! How about when something unseen lifted my son to get a closer look in the mirror!!! That is a good one! Poor thing would not go to the bathroom without the door open for the remaining time we lived there. ha ha

I am sorry to say that I just getting confused when you say, " I personally do not believe in their existence, but am still afraid." It is for sure that you still believe that ghosts exists.
To me, I have heard of ghosts in stories only and I believe they exists only as characters of the story. The stories are not real life stories and the characters are not real life characters, though they represent some characters of the society. So there are characters like ghosts in the society, at times, even within us.

Yes the statement may seem to be confusing. I meant that, my logical reasoning says me that ghosts doesn't exists, and it's just the fear in my mind. But at the same time, the irrational part of my mind, that has grown this fear for ghosts and the associated darkness for years, makes me suspect that I may see something scary in the dark. I hope that now I have explained it better.

The Man On The Bench
I hope you enjoy it. This happened few years ago in my home town, Driffield, and I remember it was on Valentine's day. Me and my friend, Kerstie, were walking to her house one night. I forget what we were doing, but on the way to her house we had to pass this memorial garden. It has a few flowers, and a bench that faces a monument from the war, it's quite a nice place with a small river. There is a path that runs behind the bench, and this was the path we had chosen that day.
It wasn't quite dark and I remember it was around 6pm because there is a church not far from the garden, and the bells struck just before we walked by. We were both quite happily talking away until we came close to the bench. Then we both went silent, and turned to face the bench. It was very strange because we both did this at the exact same time, in mid sentence, and just stared for what seemed like ages. There was a man sat on the bench with his back to us. He seemed to be wearing a rather large coat, with a biggish collar, it was a greenish color, and he had a large bag next to him. I originally thought the bag was a small child huddled on the bench until I realized how large it was.
After what seemed like ages, but was most likely a few seconds, we both realized we were staring but we didn't seem to understand why. Then, at the exact same time, we both realized the guy had no visible head (I know it sounds lame but honestly it is true). Kerstie started to scream. She ran across the road and waited for me on the other side. I didn't quite know how to react and just continued to stare in shock. The guy didn't seem phased by Kerstie screaming, and this creeped me out a little. I thought maybe he was leaning forward, and his head just wasn't visible, so I slowly walked round the side of the bench, to see a front view. The whole time, he didn't move an inch. As I got closer, I saw that he wasn't hunched forward... He really didn't have a head... Just a gaping collar with blackness. Yet he had hands, and feet and everything else. He just sat there with his hands on his knees. At this point, fear got the better of me and I ran after Kerstie. As I caught up with her I paused and looked back... The guy was moving his arms... We then ran all the way to her house.
When we actually got home, it was the first time we spoke since we went silent and she said to me "You did see that didn't you?"
We then talked about the whole experience, and we had both witnessed the same thing... A headless man in green, sat with a bag on a bench. She also said that she thought the bag was a child too... I thought that was kind of odd. We thought maybe it was a guy from the war waiting for his lover, or grieving for a friend lost in the war, but I doubt we will ever know.
I know it seems unlikely but this really did happen, and if it wasn't for the fact that Kerstie saw it too, I'd wonder if I really did see it. I have seen other things but this is by far the scariest.
