It's hilarious, and there really isnt anything like it on TV right now, nothing that touches it in humor anyways.

The characters, the parodies of various things, the stupid things Peter does, the weird jokes... all of this makes Family Guy very funny and good!

It's so random and funny that you always are expecting the unexpected type of joke if you know what I mean lol.

"Family guy" has so much success because his story it's based on the stupidity and ignorance of the people! It's like , how stupid can I be! People, because of their intelligence, discovered that there are no limits when it comes to stupidity! People can be infinite stupids! Also, Stuey, (i am not sure if that is correct), the little child, it's the villain character, and because he is young and does nasty stuff, people will love him! Because in the real life that will not be possible so people find it attractive, even funny! Let's be real, "Family guy" it's not funny, it's not! "Futurama" its funny!

Well i could think of a million resons why the show is popular, but that would make my post too long, so here is the short version.
I think the personas in family guy are very relatable. You can actually relate to the emotions and characteristics that they posses. Secondly i think its popular because it takes everyday situations and puts them in a different perspective. Thirdly i think the fact that some scenes are completely ridiculous makes it attractive, f.e: Peter fighting with a giant chicken. Last but not least I think the show shows a good sense of comical timing, they are always on the edge of driving a joke to far, i just love that.

I think it's the fact that nothing is taboo and the writers will take pot shots at anyone, no one is off-limits. Plus it's just so over the top somtimes it's so shocking/unexpected it's hilarious. Also the miscellaneous bits thrown in with really nothing to pertain to the episode are great. It's peanut butter jelly time.

I think it's a combination of the humor, the bluntness, the lack of always being PC aka politically correct and because no matter how great our families are we can all see a little of them in this family! LOL

I think the culture and the design of the character make them a successful tv show.I mostly watched them in youtube and I can see that the views of these short clips more than thousands and millions of people watching them.So when I look at those comments they said they were fun and have sense of humor. And those characters have it's own out look. Also those editors! That's very important!

lol thats a hard one to answer because i could type page after page of why family guy is funny. But since I don't want to take the time to do that, I'll just say that Family guy is funny because of the inferred humor that underlies the actions of the Griffen family and friends.
