I just had a baby boy and I can't believe how big he is already! Does anyone remember how old their babies were when they started sleeping on a schedule? My mom says I should try to get him on a schedule and I really want to, he is almost two months and I really miss sleeping, but I can't remember how old they should be before imposing sleep and eat times. Any thoughts?

i think aiden was about 3 months old but he really did it on his own. the only scheduling we tried to set up was eating and afternoon naps other than that he pretty much had control up until around six months when it was easier to keep him awake for longer periods of time so we could adjust his schedule around ours

I hope it starts soon....Getting up to get the other kids ready on time for school after pulling an all nighter isn't exactly fun. But he just wants to sleep all day and we can't keep him awake cause all he does then is cry until we let him fall asleep. I feel kinda bad trying to wake him up when he's tired, poor baby.

My first took a while to get on a schedule, like three to four months. My second took like only a week. It was great. The first one I remember I had no sleep and was sleepy all the time. I would snap at my husband and others (not the baby though she so cute). But, the second one she is only 9 month old now, she got on the ball in about a week.

Congratulations to you! If I remember correctly, my older child who is 7 years old now, started sleeping through the night pretty early, about a month old or so. My younger child who is 6, started sleeping through the night a little later, maybe at about 4 months old, just about the time I had returned to work. Good luck on a schedule!

our boy is five months old and he started sleeping through the night about two weeks ago. He still wakes up from time to time but he usually falls back asleep, well until about 5am when he wants to eat, which is a lot better than the every three hours he was doing for awhile.

My son started sleeping through the night at around 3 months old. I think if he would have started a day later then I would have had a nervous breakdown. He used to wake up every 2 hours and take at least an hour to get back to sleep. I think the fact that I started work and started a schedule with him is the reason he started sleeping through the night at that time. Good luck! I hope your baby boys starts sleeping through the night for you soon.
