where do you buy a monkey

I cannot stress this enough, monkeys DO NOT make good pets. They are social animals who live in family groups. Humans cannot replace their inate need to be with their own kind. They have not been bred to socialize with humans like dogs and cats have been over the centuries. Being kept away from social interaction with their own kind, they can become violent and destructive and even a very small squirrel monkey can do a LOT of physical and property damage. Because they are highly intelligent creatures, keeping one as a pet is cruel, there's just no other way to put it. In most states it is illegal to own any kind of primate without a specific type of license. They are so genetical close to humans they can catch, carry and spread many human diseases. Please, just don't.
