I am a smoker, and I am the mother of 2 young children. I don't smoke in the car when they are in the car with me. If they are not with me in the car, I do smoke.
I don't think that smoking in your car should be against the law. Too many freedoms are being taken away as it is.

the law itself shouldn't tell you not to smoke in the car while there are kids in there, but your conscience should tell you that...
just think of that for a second.

As a former smoker of two boys with asthma - I can relate to both sides. The reason I quit was the coughs coming from across the hall in the middle of the night that kept my little one's from sleeping. I knew in my heart I was not doing what was best for them and that made it all the easier to quit almost two years ago.

I hate seeing people smoke in their cars with the kids in the back seat. Gee, why not light one up and let the kid smoke too. after all, he is getting the full benefit sitting in that hotboxed car with his little eyes watering and his lungs gasping for air. I have a friend who can't seem to realize that her son who has asthma has to use his inhaler more often after they've gone shopping because she smokes in the car with the windows up. She blames the stores for having poor air circulation. He is 11 you just know that by the time he is 16, he will either be smoking 2 packs a day, or chewing like his dad
