How do you actually consider the course you plan to pursue. Is it because that's your field of interest? or because it has more opportunities and will give a high compensation? Who actually chooses your course? you or your parents?

Choosing a college course greatly depends upon the person who decides. There are a lot of people who take up college courses for the assurance of high compensation - example to this are the many Filipinos who enroll themselves in nursing courses for a chance of working abroad. On the other hand, there too are people who decide using their hearts - they follow the dictates of their passion though it may not spell out great success in the future.. Now that the demands are quite high and life is rough, I believe it is best to first make sure that the college course you take up is one that will really give you a decent job in the future.. It is important that you love your job but you surely wouldnt love it if that job wouldnt fit what's needed for. You alone should decide your trail.. Not your parents.. Not anybody else..

When I was going into college I chose accounting because I was good with numbers and wanted to pursue a career in something involving numbers and math. Accounting was a good occupation to get into and they make good money. I chose what major to study. I did end up changing over to business administration after two years. I wish that I had taken something computer related instead.

I studied botany because that I wanted to make medicine. I love working with plants. Life is short. I'll be damned if I am miserable every day doing something I hate just for money. Do what you love and the money will follow.
