Blood Donor

Here in the Philippines, we are encourage to donate blood to the Red Cross, i think it is a world wide campaign coz thier is a World Blood Donors day celebration..i'am planning to donate. how about you?

I donate blood, I like knowing that I am helping someone that I don't know. I have never neded blood or anything but I think it is great to help strangers out, especially when they are sick!

Under similar discussion posted..we don't wait if somebody ask our blood for help..i will donate my blood this April..

donating blood is a very humane thing to do. not only does it save lives, it cleanses your own system, too. not too many people understand this, though. here in the philippines, there are people who even ask for payment just to have their blood extracted.

i have donated blood many times and once i remember , that was the first time that i donated , i was not even 17 but our teacher forcibly tok me for it and after donating i fainted. LOL. but now it never happens like that.

When I was working I used to donate blood 6 times a year and even after I retired I would go to my masonic lodge and donate there as often as I could. Now that I have MRSA I do not know if they will take my blood. Due to my car being in bad shape I have not tried to go give blood lately. I would love to be able to go to my masonic lodge and give blood (even though my masonic lodge is almost 90 miles away from where I am living now).

I passed by the Red Cross Center to get my schedule and they allow me to donate 2 times a year. I'm scheduled this April 29 and my next is October 2007. Hope I can give more but due to my built, twice is the maximum.
