Must one My Lotter start 13 discussions in a very short time? I don't usually bother with this sort of misuse of My Lot, but 13 discussions really is a bit much.
I can't figure out why someone would do this? I mean , who would bother responsing to 13 discussions from the one person?
It's just getting silly when people do this.

I am not sure if this is correct but one time I read where someone said they worked all their responses on "Word" or something and then loaded them all together onto myLot at one time. I have trouble to come up with two or three within a 24 hour period. I wouldn't answer so many from one person then I would not have enough time to get to all my friends' discussions.

13 discussions in one day would be nice if they were very descripted and longer than a line and a half. I have been noticing alot of one line questions that just don't make sense and I don't respond to them very often, once in awhile I will if it peaks my interest, but for 13 posts if they don't get the responses they sure are not doing it to get the money.

I've seen this happen as well. I've seen people flood the new discussions with not just 13 but upwards of 20 or more all within a few minutes time. Take a look sometime under the discussions with no responses area and you'll see some where it's just one after another from one poster. I have trouble coming up with one or two discussions in a day on a daily basis let alone more then 10. I wish there was a flood control on the new discussions area to prevent people from doing this. Fine post discussions all day but don't over run the place at once with them is all I mean.

maybe she had research this and have it ready when log in to this site..nothing is impossible if one is really interested in participating this one..but its your opinion on this issue i cant debate you that..its how you perceive things..

I never actually pay attention to this, unless I see all topics from the same person in one page. But I agree with you, 13 topics in one day sounds a lot. Maybe this person thinks it's good way to make money, I think they should consider responding and posting pictures

The hard truth is, thats the beauty of "freedom of speech" or expression even here at myLot. It maybe annoying but thats how tolerant for now myLot is. Surely it can be curtailed & then still you will see discussions here who may get uncomfortable putting a brake to it & get good number of respondents that will feel bad of the same.
We are entitled to our own opinion in regards to this, & i do very well respect that. We may never know, someone really made a living out of this, fishing expedition is one way of getting the fish obviously but sometimes they come slow or none at all.
As for me it doesnt bother me a bit. It just concerns me though the load it puts in at the database, despite the text nature that composes the majority of the interaction here in myLot.

I would have a hard time keeping up with rating responses if I did that, providing I got any responses. On my biggest discussion day I did start eight, but spaced them apart during the day. Everyone has their own methods.

I do have a couple of 'friends' that do this. I answer all that I can. I would not call it a misuse and I am perfectly free as anyone is to pass any number of them by. I haven't posted in a while any discussions so I think it balances out. They have to take care of those discussions too. Hopefully they have more time to do so than I do.

Amen.
I've had a discussion along the same lines.
People sometimes start more than 15 discussions in an hours time.
How can they expect a lot of responses to them all?
I may start 5 or more but then I don't start any for a day or 2.
Hahahaha. I seen this also and responded to just one of threm.
Thanks and have a great day.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I really can't see how they can maintain quality if they feel they have to bomb the site with all those discussions in one day. they must either be very bored or desperate to up their payout, but it seems a bit pointless to me.

that's right but i think these people search 4 money only not 4 friends . i think the 1st purpose for these sits like mylot & others made to make friends &communities to share the thoughts . maybe I'm jerk but i believe in what i wrote

I agree.. I've seen it happen too. I could see maybe if they were 13 serious discussions with some kinda real value, but most times when discussions are posted like that, its just filling space, trying to get money and wasting everyone's time. I suppose they could put a limit on how many you can post within a certain time period to stop that, but then that ruins it for those who may have legitimate things to add. There's always one in every crowd that ruins things for everyone else.

As a new member to myLot I would think starting 13 discussions in a short time would be normal because when one starts something new, one would like to find out as much as possible about the activity. So, you can't blame them for making so many posts. I do agree with the other members that the discussions must be informational rather than one to two liners.

I do not encourage any mylotter to start 13 discussions in a very short time as he may not afford to deal with the vast number of responses he might receive later.

Oh jenny, I understand your sentiment. I have some friends from my list who did nothing but to keep posting 8 to 10 discussions within the minute and yet not partaking in my threads. This is what I can't understand. I don't required my friends to respond to all my threads. As I also can't respond to all their threads as well. I hope I will not be force to delete some friends again. :)

Starting too many discussions is plain silly. I have had one person who spammed 71 discussions within an hour. What I did was I deleted all the email notifications and set his notify to OFF.
It is not impossible but extremely rare to find quality in quantity.

I can't understand posting that many in a day. I like responding to discussions and I will go through ones I have posted and respond to what people have said. So I don't have the time to post that many discussios in a day. I also believe in quality over quanity. I guess that's why I don't have a lot of posts lol. It is annoying though to see a lot of posts from one person that are not thought out, just words thrown together.
