I partly agree with that. If you have money or let's say, if you are rich, then you can let money work for you. It's like manipulating the stock market in a way using your invisible hand. That's according to Karl Marx. Money is the source of everything. From salaries, food, health maintenance and the like, money is really the answer. On the other hand, if you came from a poor family who dreams to be in the limelight, you really have to strive hard at first to earn money. In such case, you have to work for money.

For those who aren't blessed to be born with money, they have to work for money first then after sometime, the money can work for him in the future. But reality check, its always the you who work for the money. Very few are lucky enough to have save for the future and start making money work for them. Take care =)

I believe that you can make money work for you. I guess, the reason why other people do not believe this is that they have this misconception that there is such a thing as free lunch. Truth is: there is not such thing as free lunch. If you could invest and you have the buffer, then you could get things rolling and make the money work for you. This is what I have always been telling my clients if they wish to go into currency trading.

Probably because they have invested their money very well. It's making interest for them and that is how their money is working for them. You can do this by investing in bank CDs, money market funds, mutual funds, bonds and/or the stock market. If you invest wisely, you can make a nice amount of money just on interest. Thankfully, we've done that ourselves and now we have money to send our kids to college.

The saying is definitly true but with a limited area. You need some money in the beginning and for this you have to work for money. Ones you make out the money enough to meet the primary goals then you can plan for a systematic way of your working style where in the money follows you and you do not have to run after I think. Dear friend that do not apply to me, Im on the wholesale bussiness, liquidation and closeouts, I left my job motivated to work for me, and desperely looking for the logistic center of gap/old navy that donate trailer lots of used and worn clothing, the company that i just to work make millions with that.,they dont have the contract anymore the good news is that I have the customer but I dont know where to go to get this merchandize, everybody wants to paid me on front, Im working like crazy to make it, after I sale a couple containers i will let you know if money works for me.

Obviously, one who does not have money will never live to find out how this works. This is called capitalism and this idea fuels the economies of the world. The opposite theory which was communism has been proven to be weak and defective. If you don't have enough capital (money) you will always be a bottom feeder (employee). The top feeders are the owners of money (capitalists) and they can buy protection (military), knowhow (scientists) and everything else to power their greed for more and more money; more money than they can spend.

Its all about investing! If you are working, start investing in your 401K, Roth IRA's, regular IRA's etc. If you own your own business start a SEP. If you own a home start a trust. Build your funds - deposit little at a time. Right now the market is down - perfect time to get in. Buy low, sell high! The world is crazy, but the market will work itself out unless the world ends soon. Find something you enjoy -start your own business, even if it's just on the side. You will never earn everything you want unless you are your own boss. It takes hard work, dedication, etc., but working a 9 - 5 just won't cut it unless you have an outstanding profession. And even when you have that, you probably are sacrificing time away from those you love. Don't buy things you cannot afford - learn to live frugally now, so you can live your dream later!

That's just a fine and dandy saying if you're rich. For most of us folks - the wroking class - we have no choice but to work for money. Or else, we can't live.

It's all in the investments. If you invest in the right places you can become a millionaire overnight.. however, if you invest in the wrong places you can be broke overnight as well! You have to know what to invest in whether it be the stock market, a program, a buisness plan, or whatever! That's what I think people mean when they say, "Let the money work for you."

erm,money seems very important in our life.Some people don't care about it but some not.For me,money is the same important as work.hehe,coz I am not very rich,I can not let money work for me.I wish one day it can be.

simple .. it's means investment .You invest your money in a business managed by professional fund manager and you just wait for the return .so you dnt work , your money work for you ...

I agree on that one. Because you are working to have money so that you can buy your needs and not to use it to anything bad such as gambling.

i dont know how money works for you if you dont have any. lol... but actually if you have any capital, you can say that qoute. it is really true, it is better that money works for you. thats why i work for money today hoping that when the time goes by money will work for me.

When people say that they dont work for money it means that they don't have to make the effort to earn that. For instance - if you ran a successful business then you can goto vacation and let your employees handle the business.In other words you don't have to be physically there to earn. I have rich dad poor dad and in that book it was written that in order to be rich you shouldn't work for money instead you should let money work for you. Take Bill Gates for example he doesn't have to make that much effort to make millions.
