hello, out there, i need help before i die. i have been sick 4 years now. i have been on morphine to kill the pain 4 years now. i am 44 years old now. i was strong as a horse when this started, had my own tree service. i can barely get out of bed now. i was ok until they gave me a massive dose of radiation in biloxi regional hospital in mississippi. the doctors i see now say they have never seen anything like what is happening to me. my body behaves as if it were getting the radiation treatment over and over. i don't know where to turn. they the doctors are sending me away, they say i need a tissue transplant, that is removal of my rectum, rectal canal, and a area the size of a large grapefruit cut out and replaced with large muscle & skin grafts from my thighs and calves. they say i need to go to a teaching hospital because there is nobody "doctor" here qualified here to do this operation. god do i wish i could meet a doctor who at least has seen a case like mine so i could have some kind of prognosis. please if you are a doctor or can help direct me some where. the normal medical sites do not cover what is happening to me. thank you people who care for strangers.robert

Have you tired MD Anderson in Houston. They are suppose to be some of the best in the US. My heart and prayers go out to you. I am a fellow cancer survivor. Or maybe the Mayo Clinic they have a good rep. to.

Maybe Johns Hopkins in Maryland? I would keep trying, my friend. I will pray that God will help you thru this. I can't imagine the pain that you must be going thru right now. Please don't give up! Stay strong and keep looking for a Dr who will do whatever he can to make you better! You are in my thoughts and prayers! Don't give up!

Another hospital I just thought of is The City of Hope hospital. I believe it is in Los Angeles or around there. It is a cancer hospital and I know of someone who went there. Keep checking!

You may have to travel to a major city to get the help you are seeking, but if it can save you then it is worth the trip. I would urge you to contact Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City. This is a hospital that only specializes in cutting edge treatment for anyone who has had cancer. I truly hope you get the help you need and I'll say a prayer for you.
