When u find ur friend is going on a wrong way and doing anything against him wud keep ur friendship on the verge of breaking then what sud u do???Will u show him the right path by whatever means u can without caring for the future of r friendship or will u just go with him to keep ur friendship??

you can only help this person if they want to be helped,if they continue down the wrong road and you are with him you will get into trouble yourself,if this person doent see reason then you must stay away from him.explain why you are doing this.you must think of your self

But if he is one of ur best friends then what shall u do??

Talking is the first step. Ultimatums rarely work and usually have more of a backlash in the long run than trying to just help someoen understand they are on the wrong path. You really cant tell anyoen they are on the wrong path everyone has to find that for themselves and everyones path is not the same. Being a friend is lending a helping hand when you can, not dictating someone elses actions.

I have been in this position a few times. Once with a serious boyfriend of over two years. I have always tried to help the friend, but if it got out of hand, I have had to distance myself from him or her so that I am not pulled down with them.
