I am a little conscious about stars here in mylot not all the times.., .I had a blue star two days back. Unfortunately I have been absent for last day and when I came back it was turned into red. Is it mylot compulsion to attend it anyway? Please share your views!

There are certain circumstance why star ratings decrease, it's either the ratio of our ratings are more on negative than positive or that some of the topics that we had/been through weren't rated. It is important for us to give and receive a rating, and it is also our responsibility to use it accordingly.
Negative ratings are only used for those abusers, offensive comment or response, irrelevant posting, spammers and cheaters. Mylot admin encourages us to rate every post and comment that we've been to, and it should always be for a positive rating.
Worry not much about your rating, as I am sure it will go up higher once again. Just continue in doing your best, and rate almost all post that you think are relevant to all of us!;)

Yes, you are right that rating to discussion yields alot in order to keep our rating good. I admit to be little bit lazy but I just pledge myself to carry on in comming sessions. Thanks! Tell me one more thing that can I mark the previous discussions rated?? Please tell! Thanks again.

No my friend it's nothing like that. It just
happens with so many here in mylot.
When few mark you -'ve rating your reputation
comes down in decimals. This normallt occurs
when you are on the border line like 95.499
shows you a number "9" and 95.500 shows the
number as "10" and the star glows blue.
So just don't worry about this.
Go on writing positive and gentle responses
and soon will recieve +'ve ratings.
Ones you will reach the reputation of 97 and
beyond then I think you won't come down later
your star becomes stable enough in that color
and reputation.
All the best from oarnamav.

It's one way administation keeps us members working hard at this.
We all care about our ratings to a point.
I've been fortunate enough to keep my 10 star from day one.
I wouldn't be overly concerned if it dropped.
But I wouldn't be haoppy either.
I just do what I do daily here is all.
Don't let it affect the way you work here on mylot.
Thanks for this discussion also.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

No, it is not dependent on how active you are on mylot. I have been away for almost a month, and when I came back I usually answered a maximum of 2 discussions every few days or so due to lack of time on the intrenet. I was pleasantly surprised that time my reputation grew from 79 to 83. And now it is up to 86. I believe that reputation ratings rise or fall depending on how you get reviews for your discussions or replies. A positive rating by another mylotter raises your reputation while a negative one lowers it. I hope this clears things up a bit. By the way, I rated your discussion as positive :)

YOU are now having a blue star and I am sure you can keep it up by posting quality reply , getting a ten star is just a pursuti of perfection ,I think it may nto actuallyrelate to the earnings.
Anyway, evem you drop back to nine , you do not have to worry as you can get back to ten.
WOrk hard .

unfortunately, star ratings are in the hands of mylot users. we can't predict when we will have a higher or lower ratings.
don't worry, so many of us are also conscius about it. just keep being positive. really, a 10 is difficult to maintain. i'm always on my toes.
keep on doing quality posts, even if our ratings go down, at least we tried to give the best that we got. :)
goodluck! ;)

I dont think you lose your blue star by being absent. I was out for 5 days because I was out of town and I didn't lose mine. I'm also finding that I waste a lot of time on here and I am trying to cut back. The payback isnt good enough. Only earning pennies per hour... especially with summer coming, I'd rather be outside. So I'm not feeling obligated to post every day. I also know I won't make my minimum payout this month because of it, but oh well.

No it is not so. Even if you don't login for a month, your rating can stay 10 only if no one rates you negative. There are few users in myLot who purpose rate others negatively, but dont worry just enjoy posting and HAPPY EARNING :)
