Custodio Wants to Ban Pacquiao-Solis Match in GenSan?

According to Bagong Tiktik, Incumbent South Cotabato District 1 Congresswoman Darlene Custodio is planning to appeal to Global Media Arts (GMA) to not to air the match between Manny Pacquiao and Jorge Solis in her area of jurisdiction, including Pacman's hometown of General Santos City. According to her, MP's match on April 15, win or lose, will surely boost his bid for the congress by symphatizing his fans. I'm wondering if her move legal or not. Any opinions?

I think that it is really provided by law for the candidates not ot appear in any commercial show. this is the reason why Richard Gomez (which I will never vote anyway) had to leave his shows in GMA and that's why Tito Sotto could never appear anymore in Eat Bulaga. If the camp of Darlene will move for no-airing of the fight in that particular district, it is her right under the law. However, I BELIEVE THAT SHE WILL NOT MOVE FOR THE BANNING OF THE FIGHT. WHY? Of course, to avoid sympathy votes for Manny. So it will be a damn if you do and damn if you don't for her. Banning the fight could swell sympathy votes for Manny but airing the fight could likewise mean more fanatic votes for him. But for now, I think Manny is still trailing Darlene according to surveys. Anyway, I am not from GenSan -- thanks goodness I am spared from a "labo-labo" fight hehehehehe.

There are laws for candidates to follow, and I think it is right to ban it. As Pacquiao is running for congress and that it would be unfair to have Pacquiao more exposure, because this will affect the current flow of the electoral surveys in their province. Darlene Custodio deserves a fair chance, and that it is her right to appeal as long as she sees a point in doing it so..

I think it's but fair for her to ask for that. It'll give Manny too much exposure.

That report does not agree with the interviews of Congresswoman Darlene Antonino-Custodio just yesterday in the TV Patrol SOCSKSARGEN. On that interview, she said they will push the showing of Manyy's bout against Solis on the 15th at the Lagao, General Santos City Gymnasium. According to her, politics is a separate field and the participation of Manny in the elections should not affect anything else.. I dont know if she's lying or if the Bagong Tiktik is inventing anything but one thing's for sure: if Manny wins, the entire first district of South Cotabato will be very problematic..
