See, what can happen worst is she might turn him down, but imagine the scenario when he just did not express himself and she accepted someone else in her life. Well,what can i say,i guess he's in love.lol. Ask him to take her out for a coffee or something not something like a date and maybe as they could spend time together.She might get to like him this way too.Cuz you'll never what could happen when the two are together. And maybe when they're almost winding up he could tell her that he loves her or as an alternate way he could drop a letter in her bag or give it to her.This way he could avoid the fear of telling her straight to the face. I have to agree with what most others here said. It's better for your friend to tell this girl now, or he may never get another chance. At best she will like him too, and at worst she won't. But at least he'll know. If he is really struggling to find a way to tell her, maybe he could write her a letter. Sometimes it's much easier to put our feelings down on paper than it is to actually say them face to face. But he needs to do it soon. Putting it off will only prolong the agony, and the longer he waits, the more chance she has of meeting some other guy. I wish him the very best of luck.

I actually have the same problem with a guy I like. Except we probably aren't as close as you are with Nikki. But I'd say just tell her everything you just typed to us. The worst thing she could do was tell you she can only think of you as a friend, which really isnt a big deal. I know it'll feel embarrassing and it'll suck, but life goes on I promise.

You have to let her know and make her understand how you feel. Just be honest. She may like you too, you'll never know if you don't talk this over.
