Read something on the newspapers. Marriages are no longer made in heaven. They are made online. Match making now have moved on from the traditinal method to the virtual world and become a booming business, attracting investment even from US internet giant YAHOO. Like in Malaysia too, men and women are increasingly logging on in search of a soulmate. Registration with websites, by prospective brides and grooms has been on the rise and companies are taking advantage of it. Even department store chain Kamdar has hitched up with one of the bigest matrimonial websites - Indian based shaadi.com which has more than 7.5 million members worldwide - and claims to have matched more than 700,000 couples But are you confident enough to pursue a marriage or a relationship with someone that you only know from the net?

Well, that will depend on how the romance turn out to be. If both have the feeling and both find that each other is the right person, then it will end up as a marrigae.

The word "Marriage" is greater and bigger than what people think it is. A lot of marriage done on the net is fasion toward beauty.Yet i will like to convince you that out of 100% woman only 30% are having wife materials. The wedding through the net are ment for people that are looking for woman and not for those that are looking for wife.In europe and america today it is not a new thing to be seing young girls of 25yrs diforsing.Let us look into there marriage is not older than 1 or 2 yrs yet this people have prove that they have been cutting for years before marriage, let us now compare internet wife to this.No cutting,no going out together,no knowing of special weaknesses.I think is dangerous than HIV.

Well, at this day and age, meeting someone and falling in love on the Net is pretty common. Some fail, but some find true love (I sounded a bit cheesy there for a bit). LOL It just depends on the people involved. =) Online romance is possible I tell you. =) Have a nice day! =)

I know it is possible but i wonder how can we avoide the sceptical feelings that we have about the other party...

I am already married and happy . But if someone like to take my advise then I will say that one should go for it but shouldnot rely completely on net. One should meet the person and then take decision.

For example in Malaysia there have been a few cases like rape and malicious act had taken place when someone meet a blind date that the got to know from the net. Evrything sounded so nice, genuine and hopeful but it turned out to be a devil in disguise on the day of the meeting...so it can be the scariest moment if that happens when you intend to meet someone from the net...or else we need to bring a bodyguard along just to prepare ourselves from any mishaps?

In my opinion online chatting is full of bluffing and fraud included. So please don't go for net marriages

That is what i gather too..based on my experiences, not many are very honest and open about themselves especially those that we know in chat rooms and personal sites..

Yes. I have relatives who are now happily married. They first met their partners online. Just be careful when choosing. Not all people are scammers or evil.
