Which is better in doing TV Drama and Teleseryes: GMA 7 or ABS-CBN?

Kapamilya kami....hehehehe Some teenagers in GMA are not popular unlike in ABS CBN they are popular....this is only my opinion....Even if the Pinoy big brother show....maganda at the best to watch.....:)

I watch shows from both camps. I am addicted to Princess Hours and Maging Sino Ka Man from ABS-CBN as well as a big fans of my one and only JUMONG and if there is time also Asian Treasure from GMA. We must accept the fact that GMA is noow at par if not better than ABS-CBN in the ratings war.

I'm not a frequent viewer of teleseryes but I can say that more people prefer ABS-CBN shows.

As a kapuso, I can say that ABS-CBN shows are lot more better in terms of quality compared to GMA-7 but then the most popular teenstars today are from GMA7 and majority of our primetime viewers nowadays are either kids or teenagers. Some parents would rather sleep and rest than watch these shows. Just my opinion :)

Yes Im 100% agree with you Im addicted watching teleserye in abs-cbn they are more on realistic and somehow you can learn some good moral from it...

I totally agree with you! I can't believe the ratings either. I think they're only No.1 here in Metro Manila but nationwide it's ABS. GMA shows are "corny" and the stars are OA. ABS creates quality shows with talented stars.

Honestly in my own standard both stations sucks, their format are stereotype and so amateurish, their scripts are used a thousand times, no innovations and somewhat low budgeted in terms of productions (but actually their stars are paid crazy high figures like richard can't believe with is lousy acting talents he is the top-billed actor now , the only edge Abs has is their actors, GMA shows are like done by some high school students who portrays a drama on an arts subject. Look at the effects of that stupid Pilyang Anghel show, her feathers are like a prop of a high school project. I can't help but get annoyed, I know pilipinos can do better, but sadly they only settle on shallow shows because the masses are contended with it..

Currently, GMA7 does a better job but still it needs a lot of improvements and catching up.

I think ABS-CBN is doing great in producing drama series than GMA 7. First, ABS-CBN got a more experienced actors and actresses compared to GMA. GMA's talents came from talent searches like StarStruck and other meaning they have lesser experience in show business. Second, ABS-CBN got a lot of good writers though their series have the tendency to bore its viewers when they forcibly extend the series longer. Last, ABS-CBN does it better! :)

i agree with you. and abs-cbn's program are well thought of. both in technical and artistic.

Well, i don't believe on surveys, it can be manipulated. Anyway i am an avid fun of abs-cbn because i find their shows so entertaining and the cast are so professionally trained to act their respective characters they portrayed. unlike on the other station that i found it boring and they almost have new artist and i dont believe and convince in their acting performance. they still need more practice.

I really preffer the way abs cbn when it comes to their dramas and their actors and actress too. Its more realistic and in a way you will be able to feel the drama and you will be able to relate somehow. Not like in the gma its always pantaserye but the thing is their special effects and costumes are so bad. They should grow up and notice that flaw in their system ;)

as for me, i do prefer ABS CBN primetime shows. they are done better... i dont really watch GMS shows, even if they say it is good. i dont like the actors and actresses in GMA.

Well when it comes to making tv drama, i would say that GMA and ABS-CBN are both equal but they have some difference. Coz as far as my observation is concern, ABS-CBN always tend to make heavy dramas than the GMA7 is having this light but still good quality tv dramas. I think Channel 2 should minimize the heaviness of its tv shows as its really affecting other people's life. People tend to watch tv shows that just light and not that heavy to watch and so they can more rely on that than watching it and get more affected about the scenes. That is so true. I like ABS-CBN more than GMA7 because the actors and actresses are better in acting compared to Kapuso members. I guess the rating of GMA is driven by kids since its more on Fantaserye.

I don't actually believe in ratings and they really don't matter to me at all. I love ABS-CBN's "teleseryes" too. I love them especially "Maging Sino ka Man". I watch it everytime I have the chance to. I think it's just a matter of one's preference. I am not really into "fantaseryes" maybe that's why I prefer Channel 2 over Channel 7.

i like ABS CBN...because they're not boring... their joke are korni but in drama their the best...;)
