My mother says that I had an imaginary friend that was named Dino and was a HUGE dinosaur. She had to set a place at the table for him, give him baths when I had one, walk him every day so he would stay healthy, put a collar on him. I couldn't have pets at the time because everything made me sick. My mother says that Dino took the place of a pet for me and fulfilled that need. I don't remember him hardly at all. My mom says that Dino kinda just faded away when we finally got a chihuahua puppy. She says that she asked me one time about Dino and I told her that his mommy missed him so he went home. I never mentioned him again according to her. I was like 5 or so when he left.

I have had Henry for as far back as I can remember and used to have picnics under the kitchen table with him. I know now that he is not real but when I was younger he was very important to me.I will never let go of Henry as I consider him to be the naughty side of me. We all have an inner-monologue in our head's but I have chosen to name mine and blame him for all my naughty and bad thoughts.

Naughty side thats cool.I agree with your point that we all have an inner-monlogue,which comes to life most of the times when our brains are not active.Making up things with characters is often common also, well put dublinda thanks for your response.

I used to have an imaginary friend when I was younger. I let go that kind of fantasy world about age 11. My imaginary friend was some sort of confidante. It was like the diary. I would talk to my imaginary friend if I had had a bad day.

I don't recall an imaginary friend but I do recall that i daydreamed a great deal when I was younger. I always tried to imagine my grown up life and what it would be like. Funny thing, it turned out much differently - but in my opinion - much higher than what I had hoped for!

I've always had an imaginary friend. I think everybody does. Well it feels good sometimes because you can share anything and everything to your imaginary friend. I dont think that we should let go. I dont believe its childish to have such feelings. Everyones needs some fantacies like this. Its the essence of life. You might be old enough to realise that the imaginary friend is no one else but you yourself but even then. Its is a healthy process to have a selfevaluation time. Time for oneself. I belive you can find such a time with this imaginary friend.
