Rose is a symbol of love- why

Rose is always known as the symbol of love, but have have you thought of a reason why they call it so. there are plenty of flowers other than this, there are many beautifull flowers and with good scent but rose is treated differently. If you guys know about this please let the community know about it

ha ha ha, good question! I feel that the rose flower comes out after facing lots of thorns in its way so as to say that there are lots of problem in the journey of love. Rose and thorn both are of opposite in nature but still grow in the same root and stay united may be thats the reason why rose is meants for love :)
