Lost friends

Have you ever had a friend who was very near and dear to you, shared almost all of your interests, got along with you very well, you still have fond memories of time you spent together but all of a sudden the same friend disappeared without a trace?
I had such a friend! and i want to know from you guys how to deal with this gnawing feeling that i have inside of me? what should i do? just over look it as fate? believe me i have tried to locate her but to no avail!

That's unfortunate but that's life.
I had a few close friends in the past too but somehow they just disappeared with time. Some left for overseas, married to foreigners, others went overseas to work or study and I never heard from them ever again. Plus they can't be contacted by their old numbers.
I was sad but then I got over it in time. I wish we'd kept in touch but well..... thankfully I have other close friends. I'd mourn the loss of a good friend but life has to go on.

Like i said before i think its only with time that i will learn to live with this loss!

I had a similar situation with a high school friend. We were very close and she moved away suddenly, left without saying goodbye and I never heard from her again. Thirty some odd years later and I still wonder what happened to her. I guess it's our destiny to have these people come and go out of our lives for reasons that we just cannot explain.

i know that its destiny, but the pain and sense of being left alone is really too overwhelming!
Dont you wonder that if she feels the same way? what drove her to disappear like that? how's she now? where is she now?
whenever i think of the friend i lost i really get depressed!
i just cant let it go like that either thinking that it just unexplainable!
I guess time will have to do its miraculous healing! cause i dont see any other alternative!

Yes this has happened to me twice by the same person, they disappeared then came back after 12 years only to do it again, there is unfortunately nothing you can do if it is what they want....sad but you just have to go on.

I know that i should move on but whenever i think about it, it hurts so damn much!
I am sure my friend didnt purposely disappear! i think something happened to her and that is the reason i feel even more distressed and frustrated when i think about it!

I think sometimes we get busy with our own lives and forget about those around us. We move on and just get caught up in life. It's not a good thing and it definitely makes for lost memories that could have happened but I guess that's what they mean by "Life Goes On".
I hope you find other best friends to care about and enjoy life with. I'm sure you will!
