People and Government of China

Hi friends, I would like to know about the relationship of the people and government in China.. How are the people employed there? Are they allowed to own private property or the government will provide the people with such facilities? Can people start companies or only the Government can start companies and provide employment to public? What is the currency of the country? What is its value compared to the US dollar? I have these nagging questions on mind for many years but no one knows the answers to my questions.. Please reply me...
