its almost like the climax of a war of words and cold war and finally Greg has quit as coach. What are your feelings about the change and what does it mean for the future of the Indian team. Will anyone be willing to take up the post? http://www.rediff.com/wc2007/2007/apr/04greg.htm

Now, after all these drama, everyone has forgot about the humiliating loss of the indian team in the world cup. This is expected as we fans are suffering from amnesia. I feel all these drama is only divert the attention of media and fans to stop questioning the loss in the world cup. It is high time that we stop watching Indian cricket as a whole. It has ruined our nation since 1983. If you think after that India has not won a single major tournament except a few here and there smaller tournaments or series. We have very bad reputation with playing abroad and have a very poor record overseas. Considering all these things, all the hypes sorrounding the indian cricket are nothing but only hypes and nothing else. It is the media and BCCI which is creating all these things. I feel that cricket should be banned in india or the BCCI should be dissolved a new board should come up and should be headed by past players rather than politicians. If you see cricket is considered just like a religion only in India, elsewhere nobody even cares about it. All the money involved in cricket to ICC is coming from India and it all our hard-earned money which is being spent on cricket all over the world. This should stop, else we indians will perish soon.

I can understand your frustration - and I too hope that our team will perform better.

Greg chappel should quite....but his principles should not. any other coach should follow him definitely. but its better we have a foreign coach as our players would listen to him than a local one

I remember someone also saying that a foreign coach would be better in some article in the newspaper.

It is now evident that Mr. Chappell has tendered his resignation. Mr. Pawar has confirmed that too. He should have done that much earlier, may be two years back. Probably, he could have guessed his future as the Indian Coach after a strong reaction from Tendulkar this morning. And it has prompted him to announce his decision not to renew his contract. I must appreciate that this is the only correct decision he has taken in his two years long tenure as the Indian Coach. But it is too late and we are ruined. Anyway better let than never. Now we need to re-build the team India. Let's wait for the BCCI meeting on the 6th April.

But who will not take up this rather dangerous and challenging post. I hope someone responsible and good takes it up.
