Do you ever hear a radio ad that doesn't make any sense? You know the type, where it sounds like it would make more sense if you saw it on TV but when you can't see it, only hear it, it's confusing?
Let's talk about the Good and the Bad of Radio Ads! I have 3 things you could tell me about.
1) The worst radio ad you ever heard, one that was originally a TV commercial but didn't translate well to Radio at all! I don't have an example, but I hear some where they actually try to say things that you would see so it makes sense, but it just sounds stupid b/c people don't really talk like that.
2) The most annoying radio ad you hear, on a daily basis, that makes you want to pull your hair out! My example is "computertraining.com" I hear that ad more than once a day and I must change the station. It is soooo annoying, they say computertraining.com a million times, and also act like you can earn $60,000 just by taking their courses, then at the end they say something about $60,000 being just a sample and not what you will earn. Annoying!!
3) As for the good, are their any radio ads that you love? I for one love the "Bud Light Salutes Real Men of Genius" ads. They are funny and they are great on the radio b/c there is nothing you need to see! Want to hear them yourself, check the link here -- http://budlight.whipnet.com/
So what are your examples of good and bad ads??? Why do you think so many radio advertisers just don't GET IT? Bud Light is one of the few that I actually enjoy listening too (and I don't even drink beer!)
