Speaking of Sanjaya off of American Idol

Do you ever check out the Ebay Ads here with all of the posts reguarding Sanjaya? I just happened to notice this one, and had to make a Comment here. This is one of the Ebay ads, and Yes, I did look at it

It is Sanjaya Keyrings... Someone is already profiting from him, and I bet if we did an Ebay search, we would find many more. I feel this is just the Beginning and wonder how this went from something so small to now this? What is your opinion?

Ummm if you check ebay for any of the other contestants you will see there is plenty of stuff with them on it also. When Bo was on and his grandmother show up in the audience with a Bo shirt on it was on Ebay the next day and actually was made and sold by a family member as i have one of the shirts. Also way before Taylor won there was stuff on ebay with his picture on it. I got a shirt with a bunch of his pictures on it about the same time he hit the top 12. So people are usually jumping on this as soon as they hit hollywood.

This is True. I guess there are people that want something with their favorite Contestant just for the memories. I never considered wanting anything really from American Idol on Ebay unless it would be one of their CDS I guess, as a lot of the people we know here do not watch American Idol.

Sanjaya has made himself a teen idol. I bet there will be tons of stuff with his mug on it for sale. I think it is quite funny how he has gotten so much publicity from not singing very well in a singing competition.

I never noticed it before but now that you mention it, I see one in this discussion. I honestly don't see why he is so popular. I will admit, he is kind of a cute young man and thats probably why he is popular with the young girls. But he really doesn't have the talent that the others have. I didn't do a search but I agree that there is probably more of Sanjaya stuff on ebay.

Even though he may not be a big star now, people have the idea that IF he becomes a bit star the will be ahead of the game. In the event that he does make it big, they can get the stuff for a lower price now than what they will pay later on. This is exactly what the sellers are counting on, and as long as they can find the buyers, they are going to clean up on it.
