Does any of you have any experience with these freelance writing sites? How do they pay? Is it worth paying money to get access to these sites? What are the criterias for signing up and actually getting work? Can you recommend any of these site, and if so, why do you recommend it?

Hi smartmom and welcome to mylot. I don't write articles but from my readings here on mylot there is a site where you can submit your writings and it pays you through paypal I think. It's called Associated content. You can write about anything you want. There are a lot of others and I'm sure you will get many answers from other mylotters. Good luck smartmom.

Hey, mango nectar (^-^) SAme here. I'm on Helium and also a newbie to associated content. Yeah, there's a lot of mylot members here that also on AC (associatedcontent) You can write about anything so I thought I should give it a try. I've also been reading oterh AC writers articles to get some ideas on how to be a better writer.. It's hard for me starting on what to post. But I more interested to write about short stories and poems.
AC is free to join writing site smartmom(^-^) You can follow the link to the site from mango nectars post.

I write for Associated Content and for Helium. I haven't met the minimum yet for Helium, but it's easier to write for them than Associated Content, which I think is a more serious place. I've signed up but never written for Constant Content. I also write for Epinions. I tend to concentrate on one site for awhile, then switch over to another when someone's got something (special offer or contest) going. I've also written for Gather; they pay in gift cards for places like Borders and Home Depot.

I have signed up for Associated Content, but I think it is going to take me awhile to get started, as it seems I need to come up with a great article to start with.
I also started writing for Epinions, and I did 40 reviews during their 1$ per review promotion, I will wait to see, if I get paid before I put more effort into Epinions. Did you get paid by them.

I've signed up for all of the already mentioned writing sites, though I haven't had the chance to submit any articles to them. I'm also a member of Payperpost, though it isn't exactly a freelance writing website, they do pay you well to make relatively short posts in your online blog or journal. I've actually been paid 3 times by them now.

Hey, Msmonkeyface, I've been planning to try to sign up to payperpost, and isn't it that your going to write articles for products? Do they have to approve your writings to be paid? And how much they pay per product assignment that you write? I wanna try it. (^-^)And P.S. which do you prefer, AC or Payperpost?

I strongly recommend Constant Content, because you get worth for your write-up. Also you can fix price for your content.
For more detailes and sign-up go to:

Happy earnings.

I do not recommend to pay money to join these sites. Ones that are free and pay according to the page views that your writing generate are writingup.com and triond.com. Also blogcharm.com. You get payments every month (not just once like in AC). Some of them also let you post photos and get paid.

Thank you so much, this is great information. I will definitely check these sites. It sounds like something I would like to get involved with, I am not happy about paying anything up front, especially not when I do not know, what I will be getting in return.
