What are some things that you do to save money?
This is only for people in the USA probably, but I love yogurt! I know, that sounds weird, but with your Kroger card, you can get yogurt for only 56 cents! I like it because it's light, and it makes for a good lunch instead of getting something like fast food for a dollar, or a dollar tv dinner. Maybe this isn't practical if you need to eat a lot, but for me, a couple works good for breakfast or lunch. And it's cheap!
I also love the Kroger brand pop( or soda depending on where you are from!) It's really cheap.
I like to go to the dollar store to for stuff like toilet paper, paper towels, etc. I know you have to be careful because sometimes you don't really save THAT much, but if you look around and compare with prices at regular stores, the dollar store CAN save you money.
I also like to go to the library a lot.
What do you guys do??

Oh, thrift stores are a good idea too! I haven't been to one in awhile, but they can be a lot of fun! I found a whole, really nice dish and plate set for only $2!
Oh, that reminds me too:
www.freecycle.org is great too.
It can take awhile to find something, but it's an interesting site. I like it a lot!

Here are some tips, I dont really do the unfortunatly, but I NEED to start. Making sure you always have a drink from home-you can save big bucks if you never buy those bottles of water, soda and juice at the store. I have found toothpaste to be cheap at the dollar store too. Never eat out! That's another big money saver.
Hope this helps some, and I love yogurt and the library too!

I agree with you on the having stuff at home! If I don't have food and something to drink at home, I'll just go out and buy something already prepared because I'm hungry/thirsty NOW and don't want to wait to make something or save money by getting something cheaper!
SO, I agree with you on that! Good tips!

I agree with many of the ways that you have posted on saving money. Many times, you can find great deals on things at the Dollar stores, thrift stores, flea markets, and more. Often, if we have a wide network of friends and relatives, you can barter goods and services for other goods and services. There are also many ways that you and your family can save money on travel. One of the ways is to visit websites like freeattractions.com and find out what kind of attractions are in your state that you can visit. There are many wonderful and exciting places there. I can think of many ways to save money, but these are among my favorites.

thanks for the tip. I also sign up for lots for free samples and coupons to help with not having to pay for things like deodorant (at least until I run out of the sample) and such.
I have a whole list of them

I do a lot of my shopping at dollar stores and thrift stores. I use coupons whenever possible. I both give and get items through freecycle.org whenever possible. I carry a drink from home instead of stopping for drinks when we go somewhere. Whenever possible we try to eat before leaving the house so that we won't need to stop and get something to eat along the way. We shop the sales whenever practical.
