Do you use WinRar or have you found another program that works better? I would really love to get my hands on a program that's free and can handle RARs

I use WinRAR myself, but I have a portable copy of 7z on my flashdrive. 7z is open source, and handles RAR archives. http://www.7-zip.org/
The portable version is available here: http://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/7-zip_portable

The compression methood used for these types of files will not open with WinRar or WinZip, or even Windows built in compression utility.
The naming convension of the files is correct, do not rename the files.
These types of files are compressed using a free compression program called 7 Zip. You need a program which can handle 7 Zip compression. For Windows: www.7-zip.org; for Mac: Use your favotire search engine and look for UnrarX or P7Zip.
Hope this helps.

I have tried playing some rar files with a software that I was told is made for rar files only ,but it always shows some kind of error when I try it.I don't have a solution for rar files .I will probably try download.com for one when I get a rar file that's a must watch.

I still use WinRAR myself. Ive played around with some other programs but havent kept them around. WinRAR is good enough for what I need it for.
