How many children do you plan to have?

This question is not only for those who have not been married yet but also for the married ones. If you are already married and with kids, is that the number of children you really plan to have? Soon, if I am married, I want to have 3 children; 2 girls and a boy. I don't want to have a single child because I want my child to experience how it feels to have siblings. I would see to it that my husband and I would be able to finance them in their studies and attend to their needs too.:)

For now we have only one child and plan to have three more. just thinking of having four is not enough, i know it's a 24/7 responsibility. I am living in France for studies, last year when my wife got pregnant i was doing my master's research work and theoratically didn't have much time to give to my family as i have to do research work, writeup, presentations, thesis defence etc etc. we live alone here and there was no maid or relative to help. but i felt it my responsibility to not leave my wife alone bearing trouble and hardship. so, for major part of her pregnancy i did most of the house hold jobs, like cooking, cleaning and other stuff. i did suffer a bit by having no time to relax or rest but the very thought of having a child and sharing all that together let me get going and finally at start of this year we had a wonderful son. he had his share of his fathers time too:-) he is not troublesome at all but is demanding in the sense of time. he prefers to sleep on his fathers shoulder than in his mothers lap. he talks to me though in not understandable language and keeps us busy. so i know what it takes to have just one child. i'll not have another atleast during my stay here. when i'll get back to my country where there are relatives to help in domestic affairs we will try for other depending upon the health and wish of my wife. So, four (as we planned) don't look feasible, at least as per experience and future busy schedule but let's see where we get at.

Who knows in the near future when everything's settled up, you can already add more kids as you have planned, right? At the moment, I understand you are still prioritizing other important stuff so there's nothing to hurry. :)

Hi there, I am married, and have 4 boys. They are 7.5, 5, 2 and 5 months. I am also expecting another baby due October 3. This will definatly be our last. If I had my choice I would have had 2 girls and a boy and stopped there, but circumstances changed and it is what it is. I wouldn't have wanted an only child either. I like the idea that my kids have siblings and a big family.

My boyfriend & i have 1 beautiful little girl who is 10 months old today (Good Friday)! Originally we both wanted 2 kids, a girl & a boy but since having our daughter, my partner is happy with just 1 & i have been thinking i'd like 3 :) Funny how that works out! I am the oldest of 3 & my partner is the oldest of 4 so siblings is in there! As much as we can spoil our daughter, i think she would benefit more with a sibling, someone to play with, grow up with, do all sorts with - rather than having only Adult company as she grows up!

I've been married twice and have three kids; two from the first marriage and one from my current marriage. I hadn't actually planned on having -any- kids. I didn't want to. Unfortunately, men seem to think that kids are this great thing to have (probably because their role in bearing and raising them is so limited). So I caved and had the kids because my husbands wanted me to. I love them dearly, but sometimes I do wonder what my life would be like if I had remained unencumbered.

I can't really say how many i plan to have without really knowing how easily I'll be able to afford more then one little hellraiser. I do know however that when i do settle down to start a family, i want more then one child, would like to span both sexes but that's not really up to me. ^_^

I'm 23, I've been married for 2 years. We have an 18 month old daughter, and I am 24 weeks pregnant with our second child, a son. My husband would like to stop with 2, but I would personally like 4 in total (but to wait a few years before trying for more). This is something we need to discuss more as clearly we have differing views. I can't understand how people can PLAN to have certain genders though. You say you want to have 2 girls and a boy...fair enough...but what happens if you end up with 3 girls, or 3 boys, or 2 boys and a girl? You can only plan numbers, you can't plan genders! Sorry to tell you but you've gotta take what's given to you!

Should I get the opportunity to ever get married- I would like to have at least 5 kids- I want to have a big family. I grew up with just 1 brother and he's special, so that makes me feel like im the only child because i couldn't even talk to him about stuffs. I want my children to grow up happy with their siblings, of course there will be instances of sibling rivalry which is normal, but i would like them to experience also the joy that comes from a big happy family. Besides it would really be nice when i grow old and have many grandkids too. I would also like to experience having a yearly family reunion when all my kids have grown, have some family cookout or something =)

I reckon I would plan to have as many as the Good Lord deigned so to give to us. I think an even dozen would be wonderful! But, He knows better than I.

I really want 3 (max), but what I want for now is just 2.. the boy has to be the oldest and the girl the youngest ;) If me and my partner will be able to sustain their needs and our financial status is stable, then why not go for the third one ;) 3 is just the right number for us I guess.

I've been married, got divorced, and currently have 3 children. All three have different dads, but I was in deep relationships with all of them. I had always wanted to have 4; 2 boys and 2 girls. Right now, I have 3 beautiful little girls, and have custody of 2 of them. My ex-hubby has my oldest, and she's thriving. I would like to have maybe one or two more later on, but I'd have to be married first, and I'd pray that I had boys, because it'd be so different. Plans right now are that it won't be for many years, so my current children will most likely be teenagers before I have anymore. That's fine by me, as they're 11, 7, and 5 right now. It'll give me time to be ready for another little life in my world, and maybe do things differently than I had in the past. I do wonder at times what life would have been like without them, but then I look at them and wouldn't trade them for the world.

I wanted to have 2-3 kids. Two girls and one boy. I really love to have girls children because i love to fixed their hairs and have some cute dress. I dont say that i hate a boy kid, but i most like to have girls.. I wanted to only have 3 kids because i think if i have lots of kids, i cant finance them in their schooling and to their needs. I also wanted to have small number of children so that i can attend to all of their needs while they are growing..

At the moment I have one daughter but my husband and I been planning on to have more children. Unfortunately, is not easy as it sounds. And my 4 years old daughter everytime keep asking when she'll have brother or sister which breaks my heart. I come from a family with 4 children. I really enjoyed and blessed having my brother and sisters around. We take care of each other and our parents. So, if it's possible my husband and I definitely want to have more children.....

Well i don't want my child to be a single one and i would like them to feel the caring they have in siblings. I want them to assist each other in all stages of the life. If i am married then I would like to have a boy and a girl. Thats what are my plans for now and i don't know how my life partner would react to this decision of mine. After all we don't know whom we will give birth to either a boy or a girl all we can do is wish for them. Hope every ones wishes would come true. Have a good time all mylotians.

I plan to have 3 child and the most ideal one would be 2 boys and 1 girls. but this depend on the situation after married because i am not sure how many kids my wife is willing to deliver for me and also the depend on my financial status also. because now a days earn money for living is very hard somemore we need to give the best to our child for example sending them to oversea university.

If I can get a good job, where I'll be paid much, afford a big house, I'd like to a have a dozen! :D I like a home that is so noisy, different individuals and personalities would roam around and more especially I want to see little 'me's. but for practicality sake, I know I could not afford a mansion, so, I'd like to have 2. a boy and a girl.:D
