I'm quite a newbie at blogging, started about a month ago to get serious about it. Anyway, how do you guys increase traffic to your blog? I've been asked if I'm willing to exchange links, but I'm not really sure how to do that. Also, what are linkbacks? How do you use technorati?
I am very impressed with the way some blogs have plenty of traffic and I am curious as to how they are doing it. If you have ideas, please help me. Thank you very much!

Hi Ethanmama,
I recently joined with blogchex with url http://www.blogchex.com/health4inspiration/. I use "blogging and pinging" method to get maximum hits. With this method I got 174 hits in a day!! Not bad. Of course, I had to post more.

You may also want to register to http://blogmad.net and http://blogadvance.com You get credits whenever you visit another member's blog and when somebody visits your blog you loose those credits. There are very good bloggers on blogmad this might give you some ideas about the design of your blog or new gadgets you can add to your site.

I get a lot of traffic on my 360.yahoo because I really tell everyone about it. I also link http://natyrosado.com to it and other stuff I have. It appears the 360 is the most looked at. I have a lot of art work in it and post interesting subjects.

Hi, Naty! Your site looks great! Your suggestion is also great. Although I don't have 360.yahoo I have my friendster account. Maybe I'll use that instead.

I have use the above, and other blog/article directories, social sites, forums, etc. But all take time and a constant presence. Try SEO methods (keywords) and content optimization. I describe many methods in a post - How to increase visitors to your blog (see the post in my Mylot profile).
