what do you name your pets?

I tend to name my pets with human names (a lamb named Louise, a dog named Oliver) How do you name your animals. Do you use human names or make up or use pet names (fluffy...etc)?

My dog was named Dixie! I'm not really sure I know anyone with that name, but it isn't really a fluffy pet name either. My mom has two pups one is named Oliver and the other is Charlie. her previous dog was named Jake so she definatly sticks with the human names as well!
