with the way things are in the society we live in how many of you would have your child/children in public school, private school, or just home school? I myself have went from private to public, but to be honest I rather private school. Only issue for me is that it can get to be expensive!!! Tell me your thoughts on the topic.

My kids went to private school for 3 years and then to public school.
I prefer private school. Just because we pay money, there is a tacit undertanding that we can question teachers regularly about our child's progress and we don't expect the kids to slip. There is low teachers to student ratio which is great for my kids.
However I must say that it does depend on the kid and there are public schools that are comparable or even better than 'good' private schools. If the kid is focused and concentrates on the work then any school would do. Some kids do better is more attention and more competition. In that case private school is better.

My daughter suffers from depression and social anxiety. She cannot function in public school, believe me, we tried! And the school administrators admitted that they were not equipped to deal with a child with her problems. We home schooled her for about 1/2 year, with adequate results, but she really needed more structure. We ended up in a charter school that is smaller, has computer based, content mastery learning. This has worked out much, much better for her.
