What do you think about Mariah Carey's voice now that she's 30+ age?

Mariah Carey is a great singer,and she's the only person in the world that possesses the 8th octave voice and the dolphine shout signature which is remarkably amazing! Because of her success of her smash hit 'we belong together', she has been again the queen of divas..the most popular idol..then, she had a worlwide concert tour entitiled 'MIMI's adventure: the voice, the hits , the tour'..watching her performance in youtube, i found that something has not been quite right coz her voice is stressed out, over used, and she needs a lot of voice rest!..her voice is somewhst deteriorating due to the frequent usage of it night after night after night..concert after concert, after concert! imagine you'r mariah and continusly singing the song again and agian!ofcourse your esophagus, larynx and your lungs will be damage!!.. i want to hear from you! what do you think??

Hi aslongasuwant_it and welcome to mylot. Mariah Carey is one of my favorite singers. I have not noticed that her voice is deteriorating but you might be right and maybe she needs a rest. One day I watched a show where they had an interview with Celine Dion. She was saying that to avoid the deterioration of her voice she doesn't speak for long times.

thank you VotreAmie! yes..i'v noticed that once she performs like again and again, her voice sounded like.."oh my, i need some rest and i cant flow"..flow like, her voice sounded like one by one and to compensate that, she uses her signiture shout to abput all of her songs when performing! anyway, i still love mariah whatever happens!

I don't know if that's true because singers usually have a technique in order for their voice not to wear out. Anyway, I think that if it's true thAt'll be a watch out for Mariah...she needs to take really good care of her voice.
