My hubby is an Athletic Trainer & he says Yes, push-up will help get rid of chest fat, you can also try getting a small set of dumbells (about 5 pounds each) and lie on a flat surface with one dumbell in each hand with your arms out, (kinda in a T pattern) then lift your arms above your chest & then back down. Benchpressing will also help & of course, keep an eye on your diet. Good luck to you!

Doing push ups will help build muscle in the area and building muscles helps increase your metabolism. It also helps to do cardio. But, I've been told over and over that you can't spot reduce (reduce only in one area of the body). That's determined by your genes. You just have to work hard at losing weight all over your body. And, if you build more muscles in that area, they will show more than any fat you have left.
