I have a phone with the Sprint network. My plan allows for 800 minutes a month, and I never seem to use over 200 minutes in one month. One month I only used 100 minutes. That tells how much I enjoy talking on the phone...not at all. I think there are way too many people who are using their cell phones to a point that could be considered excessive or compulsive. However it doesn't bother me personally.

My mom gave me the use of her mobile phone without charge. I don't hardly use it at all and I have offered to give it back to her. But, she likes me to have it for security reasons. I may just buy my own later on this year, anyway, but a prepaid one. I don't really need one, except it is good in emergencies.

mobil phones come in handy so that people can contact you anytime. i find this very useful when i am looking for a job and most of the time i am out, so they can call me on my mobile to tell about my interview schedule. what i just dont like about mobile phones is that there are too many newer models being made every year and some people get really hyped up and purchase these phone even when they dont need it. i purchase a phone according to my needs, not because its the latest model and people would gawk at me everytime i bring out my phone.

I carry my mobile phone always everywhere. I hardly use it, but it makes me feel safe if I have it around. Especially when I'm travel alone or only with my daughter, I can always call my husband/anyone in case I need them. And they can always contact me anytime and almost everywhere.
Importantly, I don't have to running around like crazy looking on every corner of the street to find a public phone that function nor worry if I have enough coins for it.
