Everyone here seems to be into these pay per click schemes and I am just curious if we have any mylotters who are actually trying to make a living offline. If so, what do you do?
I recently started a bakery, which failed miserably when my inlaws ate up two pies without paying and killed my very small business income! Lol. It was fun while it lasted, making and selling lemon pies, banana bread, and muffins every day.

Mylot and Associated Content are the only two online income sources that I am currently doing. I run my own gift shop for my offline income, and it is doing fairly good.
Sorry to hear that your business failed. Never have liked to hear those sort of stories. Maybe again someday you can try it again, never know it could become a great success the second time around.

Yeah it's a joy to run. I have met many nice people, and it's fun to hear why they are buying certain things and for whom. Don't know why they tell me, they just do. Have made a lot of friends to through this business of mine, so it has helped me in many ways, just not the money benefits.

LOL, I am so sorry to hear that you are missing 2 pies from your bakery. It must have been very sad. To make only 2 pies a day and have them viciously robbed by your in-laws. LOL :P

Not currently. This is the first time in my life that I haven't had a job outside the home, and I don't like it much! I moved in the middle of December to the midwest, and it was very snowy when we got here. I was a little over 6 months pregnant. Now, I'm super close to the due date and should have a little one to take care of in the next week or two, so that should keep me busy. I would love to make some money, online or otherwise, but it's just not happening right now. I worked at a vegetarian restaurant as a waitress some and a bartender, and I've also worked as an office manager and a nurse's aid in an elderly home. I used to do astrological charts for 30-60 bucks a session, but I don't have a client base here yet, so that's on the back burner for now, and I designed and sold dresses and skirts for a local boutique but again... I've since moved so that's not happening anymore! Maybe once I get into the swing of mommyhood I'll be able to find something lucrative to do... here's hoping!

I know from experience how difficult it is to start a business while you are expecting. I had the same problem while I was pregnant with my first son. Now, my second will be arriving within the next 5 weeks and I am trying desperately to work up some momentum before he arrives so I can keep earning while I take a couple of days off. Congrats on your upcoming motherhood. :) It´s hard work, but oh so worth it!

Are you saying that your in-laws ate two pies without paying and that was the end of you? Ha, ha, you must be joking.
Actually, the only work that I do is on-line. I do mylot and surveys. I have been disabled since April 2000, so I spend a lot of time at home. I am one of those people that loves to do things that don't require others, even though I have many friends, I prefer to be alone a lot at this point in my life.
I am a writer and I love to express myself, so mylot is perfect for me. I also love to read. I like to do crossword puzzles and word searches. I like to play online games and such.
I hate talk shows, soap operas and court television, so I rarely ever turn on my t.v. When I want to watch the boob tube, I go up to my friends apartment. She has cable and we watch movies on LifeTime.
I also love to study psychology, so that is another thing I do alone. I don't know anyone who is as fascinated by it as I am, I wish I did. I also love to shop, which is another thing that I mostly have to do by myself. I can go into one store and stay for hours and if someone is with me, I can't really enjoy myself, because they are ready to leave.

I'm not earning one cent offline. I've tried getting a job but no one will hire someone who is still a student. It doesn't matter to them that I can take any schedule since I'm homeschooled.
I do wish I had a job. I know I'd earn more with minimum wage than I'd earn here.

I am self-employed, and work about 40 hours a week. I also do crafts and sell them occasionally.

There are few websites which offload some offline jobs and you can register to these sites and you get a proportionately paid for your efforts.
Or you can try some service industry where in you do not have to invest anything but only your inborn talent or some skill of you which you can use to afford some type of service to people. This kind of work pays you till you provide a sincere service to your costmors.
All the best from oarnamav.

I did a small business once and i've know how you felt bout your inlaws eating your pies. I had a similar experience too.
For the time being, i made money doing freelance typing and translating jobs. I'm not that shabby when it comes to doing statistics too. Other than that i'm sort of a runner for a friend, doing odd jobs now and then.
