I want to give my hair away.

I am a female with long brown hair streaked with blonde highlights.My hair is about 4 inches from my waistline and I want to give it away.Sounds funny, doesn't it.I am going to tell you why I want to give it away and am open ta oany and all suggestions.My niece's grandmother went to the doctor recently because she was having severe headaches and at times, her headaches made her cry.After running several tests, the doc discovered she had a tumor.On Monday of this week, the tumor(size of a grapefruit) was successfully removed from her brain.She is still in ICU and when she recovers enough to go home, she will have to take chemo and radiation.This woman will lose her hair and I want to give her mine.I know there are places that make wigs using real hair but am not sure where these places are. My niece is 16 year old and she needs her grandmother(her dad's mom).Any of you out there that can point me in the right direction, please do so.

That link I sent you is to a organization that you can donate your hair to I think mostly children BUT I would suggest maybe trying to contact them and seeing if they know how that woman could possibly benefit as well? Maybe they would be able to point you in the right direction.
You are doing a wonderful thing for her =)

Hey, thanks for the info and yes locks for love is for children. My daughter has donated for them several times and they area wonderfulr organization.

i think that's one of the most beautiful things I've heard in a long time. Maybe look in your local phone book to see if you can find a wigmaker, or check in at your salon, or even the hospital might have information you can use. Good luck and god bless!

Thank you. I know this woman will not wear hats or scarves.She is somewhat particular about her hair. I am going to call a few places tomorrow and see what I can come up with. My niece is excited that her grandma won't have to go around bald.

How awesome of you. Get a hold of locks for love. They take hair and make wigs for cancer patients. One of your local salons may have the info for you. Good luck and God Bless to your neices grandmother and yourself for being so selfless!

Hey, Losk for Love is for children. I am going to call a few palces tomorrow and see if they can arrange this for me.My nieces grandmother and I have been friends for roughly 19 years. She ia a loveable person and my heart goes out to her in her time of need.Thank you so much for understanding.
