Was the resignation a face saving for Greg Chappel as the Indian Cricket Team ?

After the disaster that was in World Cup for the Indian Cricket team, and after all those comments he made to every forum, do you think he was able to save his face and a forced expellation from the position he held by a proactive resignation. Respond with all heart and unleash your anger

He just didnt have the guts to face the music and ran away from the scene.

Yes I do believe that he resigned because he didnt want to face the music.

Yes I believe so. To the media after the World Cup loss, he refused to resign because probably he thought he was not the only one to blame for India's failure. However, after some consideration I am sure Greg thought that it is better for him to step down and save himself from all the mistakes he might have done and avoid embarrassment.
