How long did it take to get the first salary change? Was it a promotion? How much did it amount? I've been working for 1 and half year and I'd like to have a wage increase...

i've had jobs that had an automatic increase at 90 days, and some after a yearly review.once in a while if the company was doing real good they'd give an extra increase, but it was rare. i can't blame you wanting more after a year and a half.

Generally its frequency is yearly depending upon company's performance. If results are on higher side and more than expectation, salary increase are on higher side also. But every three year, we receive 20 to 25% increase of monthly salary. Yearly is different.

Considering you've been working there for a year and a half, I think you definitely should get a raise. I've been at my job for almost 2 years now, and the pay is horrible. My first raise was a whopping 10 cents, and then I got bumped up to minimum wage when they raised that, and then recently I got a 15 cent raise. But I really would love a much bigger raise! Lol.

My salary is set by negotiations between our union and the employer. The increases are usually between 2 and 3%... not enough to even cover yearly inflation. But I can't complain too much. Through promotion and contract negotiations, my salary has almost doubled since I started working here ten years ago.

I work for a multinational company. Usually, the salary is reviewed ang increased yearly, such as every March. That is called merit increase. When a promotion happened, the salary will also be reviewed and be adjusted to a higher level according to company salary range. AS for your case, perhaps you will go to your HR staff to ascertain what's the company compensation policy and when can you get a salary review and increase.

When I was working(it's about 3/4 years ago then) I got my first payrise after 3months. But it was because the first three months was what they call a probationary period. And once I passed that period I got payrise once a year in April. As for how much the amount was depend on company performance. I hope you get your payrise soon ..good luck..xx
