How can u deal if u had a step father/mother?

Theres a lot of broken family right now, and most of the time the parents doesnt care how hurting it is to their childrens feelings, and the relationship between the family will become uneasy.If u are in the position of the child and one day you knew that u already had a step mother/father how can u deal with it?
I know there are many kinds of situation like this right now, and i do believe u can open it up whats in ur mind,
in this kind of discussion we might all learn a lesson.
and hopully many parents must understand what their childrens felt if they are going into this kind of situation....?

We can avoid conflict by accepting step mother/father as a real one. When we start differentiating, conflict starts. Many factors work for it. It may be family member, our neighbour, younger/eleder brother sister, relatives, friends who add something or other which make step relationship more bitter. We should avoid taking advises from others. First thing is to respect steps. They will start loving also. It is not just a day task.
