Which Came Before - Software Or Hardware

Hi friends........ I know this is just like........ what came before "The Egg Or The Chicken"..... But, lets see what you guys have to say about this :- "What came before - "Software" or the "Hardware"........

hardware came first because you can't make a software without a hardware to start with. and yes, you can make a hardware without a software. all it needs are codes (in assembly language, of course) for it to execute. hahaha.. this is gonna be one heck of a debate! c",)

Ha ha....... It sure would be. But dude...... those codes that ur talkin about (Assembly Language) sure is a code(software) that makes the hardware run. The debate is still on....... what came first....... :P Remember.......... they first found "Petrol" (software) and then made the "Car" (Hardware)..... I am going nuts........ over to my Mylot pals to solve this one......... :P

Hardware came first because people wouldn't have thought of software if they haven't got the hardware first. But then, software may have been first because if you have a software, you can design the hardware that can use the software. But still, I think hardware came first.
