Hairy Women

Yes, I dont know why but I would be embarresed, well if people could see the hair. ITs just teh way we have been conditioned. Is it true that French women dont shave their armpits?

Personally I don't care if other women shave their pits or not. I have also done so since my teens and it's just a habit. Men shave their faces but at least I don't have to shave my armpits or legs that often as I'm not particularly hairy (as far as I'm concerned anyway). I have friends who get just about everything waxed and hey good luck to them but no way in hell am I going through that much pain AND HAVING TO PAY FOR IT ON TOP OF THAT in the name of beauty UGH! I think in general people who don't shave their pits tend to give off more body odour even if they do shower/bath every day. I'm so glad I don't use public transport as I hear some horror stories from my colleagues about smelly armpits on the tube on the way to work. That would just about do me in LOL! And regarding a comment above, yes, I've often heard that French women do not shave but I've never had the cheek or need to ask them if they do or not. I worked in a French company for quite a few years and can't say that I noticed my French colleagues were particularly non-shaved! x

I dont know that i would feel embarrassed, but i'd feed weird. I mean we are really used to seeing women with clean underarms and legs, i would be embarrassed if it was ME with the hairy armspits! I've seen a lady with really burry underarms, i guess she was probably homeless, and wearing a tank top. and that was the first and only time i've ever seen a woman with hairy armpits. I can honestly say i was SHOCKED and i had to make myself not stare. That is bad for me to say isn't it?! But it was my first time seeing a hairy lady!! I'm sorry scary hairy homeless lady where ever you are. LOL.

Personally I would be embarrassed if I went out and had hairy armpits, legs, etc. When I shave my legs it feels so much better and I feel more feminine. I like the smooth feeling and it looks better, too.

Although women equally get underarm hair but it's not really acceptable in other's culture. Culture plays a role here. Because culture dictate what is norm. Anyway, personally, I think that women who have hairy armpit look unsanitary/unhygienic. It also denotes masculinism. It's okay for men to be hairy but not for women. Women should look clean and it includes bare underarm.

as long as no one can see my friends hairy under arms its ok with me lol

I always love to shave my armpit and I can't just see my friends without telling them that they need to shave! It's not nice to look at really when someone don't shave especially girls!

It would totally gross me out. In the USA, it is not acceptable.

I think that is a decision that you should make. I like short hair and I don't like to color my hair. However, everyone is different. If you are used to long hair I guess short hair bothers you. As we get older I find it easier to have my hair cut than to let it grow as I don't want to be bothered with brushing it and styling it.
